I was born and educated in England, and graduated from Liverpool University as a Chartered Insurer. I chose a career in corporate training and human resources. My earlier employment was in the Financial Services sector, specialising in training, customer services and change management. I went on to work in the Oil & Gas industry, specialising in training and personnel development.

My husband and I moved to Oman in 2008 and I retrained as an English Language teacher. On completion of the Cambridge CELTA qualification, I taught General English at all levels in a number of language institutes and for the Omani government. I also wrote and delivered specialised materials for the Aviation, Travel, Hospitality and Engineering sectors. In addition, I completed the IBET (International Business English Training) Certificate in 2015 and delivered LCCI (London Chamber of Commerce) courses in Business English.

I have now returned to Scotland where I offer English language classes to a range of private clients using a blend of published and customised materials. My aim is to provide a learning experience that is entirely relevant to the learner.

I derive a lot of personal satisfaction from a job well done. I am a conscientious and committed teacher, enjoy a good rapport with students, and always have the learner’s best interests at heart.

 As at January 2025, my lessons are all delivered online.
